Circular economy:
Given the inherent qualities of wood and its limited availability on the market, lightweight wooden packaging is exempt from recycling requirements under the PPWR. Energy recovery at end-of-life is the most environmentally sound solution, as it replaces other fuels to provide decarbonised energy.
Carbon footprint of the material :
0.56g CO2 equivalent/g of processed material
The carbon footprint is the quantity of greenhouse gases emitted by the manufacture of the packaging, from the extraction of the raw materials to its end-of-life. The carbon footprint of our wooden packaging is 0.56g CO2 equivalent/g of processed material.
